All the action from European Taekwondo Championships on Eurovision Sport!

Dear Taekwondo family,

we are thrilled to announce that Eurovision Sport, the new free digital streaming platform, will broadcast the Europe Taekwondo’s European Senior Championships G4 and the European Para Taekwondo Championships G4/G2 in Belgrade, Serbia, this week.

Eurovision Sport’s coverage of the Championships, which run from 9 to 12 May, showcases the platform’s expanding portfolio and underlines its dedication to live exposure of the very best European sporting events to audiences across the region and beyond.

EBU Sport Executive Director Glen Killane said: “We are excited to welcome European Taekwondo into the Eurovision Sport Platform where Taekwondo will sit alongside other prominent Olympic Sports. Eurovision Sport is fast becoming The destination for sports fans and we are certain that this new partnership will bring the sport of Taekwondo to new fans all over Europe and the World.”

Europe Taekwondo’s President Sakis Pragalos added: “We started our collaboration with Eurovision Sport in 2014 and this platform is the natural continuation for the even greater promotion of the sport to the public. EBU’s decision to develop a free-to-play platform finds us strong supporters as Taekwondo is not at the top of TV networks’ preferences but is in the hearts of millions of athletes practicing across Europe. Our next goal is to develop more taekwondo content for the platform and to make sure that our sport will build its own fan base in the four years between the Olympic Games.”
